jack_mixer version 6 "Dance of the headless corpse" released.
jack_mixer is GTK (2.x) JACK audio mixer with look similar to it`s
hardware counterparts. It has lot of useful features, apart from being
able to mix multiple JACK audio streams.
Changes since version 5:
* Fix building against jack 0.102.20
* Handle python prefix different from install prefix
* Fix LASH-less operation
* Update install instructions after lash-0.5.3 and phat-0.4.1 releases
* Apply Markus patch (thanks!) for sr #1698 (can't restore session using LASH)

Any plans separating the core from the UI, ie. a client/server model?.

jack_mixer has core/UI separation from day zero. client server model can
mean lot of things. What you need it to do?
The use of thorwils faders would also be nice;).
This is planned. Once they get themed (i.e. respect colors from system
GTK theme) in their variant in PHAT project.

Well, a daemon you can connect to; ie. you send it commands or you
connect some other UI to it, f.ex a GTK GUI.
The important thing is that the daemon is not in any way depending on
a GUI to operate. It's a forked background process that I f.ex want to
start when my system start and which always lie in the background.

Well, since we're on the topic, jack does not do proper forking and
there is no log file switch.
It's possible to hack a startup script, but it's not as clean as it
should be.
