hi
i am going to buy a Firewire card, probably FA-66 or FA101 but i also
need a PCMCIA card for my laptop and i knwo that some cards are better
than others, which ones should i avoid and what is the absolut
preferred card to buy?

.wmv , .wma , .pps along with all proprietary Windows formats won t be
accepted and/or viewed....

The best cards are those that have a Texas Instruments (TI) chipset in
them. Unfortunately it's not very easy to figure out what cards have
what chipset.
NEC and VIA chipsets should also work.

Look for a Sunix card. I've recently got a PCI firewire card and is
working great. And Texas Instruments powered, of course.

Be aware, not all of them are TI, they also mount Agere and VIA.
