Hi,
I'm discovering Demudi live, I have setup a box with two differents
sound cards (pci), both are working.
I'm not familiar with jack, I believed that it could handle several
sound output but can't see where to add the second card, It seems that I
can switch between the two cards but not to have twice in jack patch bay.
Is someone could light my mind ? :)

JACK handles one and only one ALSA PCM device per "direction" (playback,
capture). Generally, it is run using the same PCM device for both
directions.
ALSA can be used to "merge" soundcards together but:
1) there is rarely a good reason to do this, *especially* with
cheap audio interfaces.
2) if there is a good reason (such as when using multiple
high end interfaces with word clock sync), ALSA doesn't
seem to do a particular good job and its hellish to
handle the config file syntax for setting it up unless
you are already a programmer or want to be.

You're right: I have looked around alsa configuration but it seems to be
to hard for me to do what I would like to :)

Are you looking to bring both cards from 2 pcs into the mixer?
I use 2 pcs, one with an RME hamerfall for 16 tracks
and then use the spdiff into another pc as input for mastering,
Both cards are Locked to the DDX as master.
Its less stress on the multitrack machine when mastering to 2 track.
Or do you want to use 2 pc's as a multitrack machine?

You're right: I have looked around alsa configuration but it seems to be

The demudi kernel should work ok.
But I use a vanilla 2.6.12 + realtime preempt

for me the "normal" repository (from the Agnula site), pointing to:
deb http://demudi.agnula.org/packages/demudi stable main
worked. After an 'apt-get update', you could try searching for a kernel
which fits your needs:
'apt-cache search kernel-image'
