as soon as I launch Jack, I lose all sound from the YouTube video I'm trying to watch in Firefox. How does one get around that? tia My personal solution for this problem is DUAL BOOT. I use Ubuntu for youtube, emails, accounting and similar

Do you know whether something like this is available for gnash as well? Afaik gnash uses gstreamer which basically supports jack afaik, so it sounds not too hard to do. Regards, Philipp

I can't stand dual boot.  My solution is 2 computers (actually more).  A dedicated audio machine and a general workstation.   So many fast computers are so cheap, and if space it tight, small cases are available and a KVM can be used to share a single screen.
