Hi
I'm looking for an alsa client the will allow me to setup two or more
zones on my usb keyboards and route them to different soft synths. Is
should be scriptable or at least command-line driven...

That wasn't really very clear...
I'd like the lower part of an usb keyboard to be send to one softsynth,

Edit the file make_qmidiroute and set QT_BASE_DIR=/usr/share/qt3
then `make -f make_qmidiroute' should do it, provided you have all the
libraries and devel tools needed.
I think I should open a ticket on demudi.agnula.org for these
utilities...

make -f make_qmidiroute
You may have to adjust the Qt path at the beginning of the file.

Not sure how interested you are in coding, but this sort of thing is
rather easy to code with the alsa sequencer api. In fact there is a
great document about it with code somewhere (I can't seem to find now,
but will look).
