Hello all!
Does JACKMIDI also start/stop jack_transport? Does a start/stop issued on a
JACKMIDI port influence the jack transport system?

JACK MIDI has absolutely nothing to do with JACK transport.

no, though there are apps out there which can generate MTC or MMC from
jack-transport; or vice-versa start/stop/seek the transport by MMC.
http://www.teuton.org/~gabriel/jack_midi_clock/ does the former.
I can't find a link for the latter though.

Hi Robn!
I'm not sure if it will, but thanks. I'll have to try it. It can get a bit
complicated, trying to bridge JACK/ALSA midi and then combine the complete
affair with jack_transport. It just takes up a few consoles, when starting. I
suppose, when I've got it worked out, I can just move them all into the
background on one tty.
