Hello everyone!
I just uploaded a new piece. This time I have to give one aknowledgement
(besides the obvious programmers):
Thanks to Jeronimo Schoeber for his samples of the ocean. They are CC by SA,
alas not yet online, for his server is down. If someones interested, I'll drop
a line when these samples are up.
The title is "Dreams of music for a new world" it can be downloaded here;

Before I drone on a bit, I'll say enjoy to all, who leave me here and please
send some feedback, if you have something (either good or bad).
Software used - as always - was the usual bunch: Nama/Ecasound for
recording, LinuxSampler (for brass and drums) loads of ladspa plugins.
Special in this recording is the coconut I used as part of the beat.
Oh and here are some lyrics:
Dreams of music for a new world,
Of sand and seas
And wavy swirls
And harmonies...
Woven in(to) the new world.
And all discrepancies
Are firmly hurled
Into harmonies.
Mirrors floating on the off-beats,
Where gost notes swing
And the bass repeats
For nothing...
In the dream-light
Of drifting minds,
In moonlit night
And pantomimes.

Wow! That long intro and instrumental breaks in particular are fantastic! It sounds like a
movie soundtrack.
What string and libraries did you use? They're very high quality.
I enjoyed the coconut as well.

I agree the voice is weak. But the general idea is what I wanted it to be.
But this time I'm not too happy with the practical execution. But I won't do
that one again. :-)
Oldfield... I never thought of him...

Hello Ken!
I'm sorry: The strings are from my Korg TR 76 synth. So no library involved.
But if you're looking for something. Check on the LinuxSampler page and look
for a piece called "winter-story.ogg" by a Russian chap, at least his names
sounds Russian. He has a Garritan String library, they sound fine to me.
For the piano effects I used the PMI orchestral Instruments library, the
same holds true for the marimba or xylophon.

It's a shame that my mobile device (from where I read mails most of
the time) can't play ogg to listen to the song right now. I'll see
when I can and try to contribute with some point (as in old days,

That's kind of you, Carlos. But I'm working on a retake and remix of it, after
having received some constructive and highly helpful points. After some
thought I came up with a few improvements of my own, added to the good amount
of improvement suggested to me, I'm sure the new take should be loads better.
