Hi,
last night i couldn't sleep, 'cause i had to record this idea:

Not totally finished yet, but who cares. Maybe some of you still enjoy it.
Man, how i wish i had a real drummer or bass player :)
Maybe someone else wants to lay down a solo on this track. If so, speak up, i
will record a playalong with space for another solo :)

FluidR3 Soundfont (for drums and bass)

Les Paul type electric guitar

Can I ask a couple of totally dumb newbie questions? I'm quite Linux
savvy, but completely new to Linux audio. Can you explain how you
have your equipment setup? Did you record the guitar directly into
Rosegarden? How did you cable it? I.e any external processors or
interfaces? Is jack in the path? How are you using the Musicman amp?
Strictly as final amplification or pre-amp (effects) only?

I have an M-Audio Delta66 which i run jackd on. Rosegarden then connects to
jackd.
Is jack in the path?
Yes..
How are you using the Musicman amp?
Strictly as final amplification or pre-amp (effects) only?
When i play electric I consider the amp to be part of my instrument. And
similar to how i record a classical guitar [i mic it] i record my electric
guitar by mic'ing the musicman amp. :)

Ah, i forgot. I also own an old Monacor MPX-8200 mixer [some dj mixer] and it
has mic preamps, so i use one of these. And from the mixer to the delta..

It's the picked or acoustic bass from that soundfont, don't remember right
now :). I do remember though that put a low pass on it.
