Hi now to all !
Been a while since I put some music up here,
Just started recording my new album (using Ardour, qjackctl et al.).
Ill be documenting the ups/downs/blunders on my website, and putting
mixes up at the end of each recording session.....that's the plan,
anyway :-)

Also, a while back I recorded a demo of The Undertones' song, "Teenage
Kicks", for a competition over here in Ireland, and here it is with
all its rough edges intact !

(the e-bow guitars are a little too much like the ones in one of my
other songs.....hehe)

Hi Conor. Nice to see you on the list again, and with new tunes.
First. Thank you so much for Teenage Kicks. I believe the late, and sadly
missed John Peel referred to it as the number one tune of all time, and it
was first in his box. I don't have the original on vinyl, but your version
comes across very nicely.
All I summon sounds ok to me. I like dance music (beats), I also like like the
acoustic guitar, which of course also turns up on dance tracks. Even though
you say it's a rough mix, I have no complaints. Nice work.

I remember the day he died. I left the office a little early and was sitting
in my car moments after 7pm. Turned the key, put the code in, and the
electrics fired up with the radio on Radio Scotland, just starting to
play "Teenage Kicks".
All the BBC radio stations played that same song simultaneously at 7pm.
Didn't feel like driving home for a few minutes after it had finished, so I
just sat for a while.
Bye bye John. We all miss the man who knew the most about music in the world.

They were recorded separately. Three tracks of acoustic guitar, and one vocal track.
Mic'd using a Rode NT1000 going through a Joe Meek VC3 Prochannel before going into
the Delta1010lt soundcard. There's no processing on the guitars, whereas the voice has
a SC4mono compressor on it and reverb courtesy of Freeverb :-)

Forgot to say that there was about 3dB of around 100Hz taken off the vocal
using Fons Adriaensen's 4-band parametric equaliser from the FIL-plugins set :-)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who omits the subject from sentences.
Been learning some Romanian, probably influences my English
unintentionally :)
