Hello everyone1
Here's another synthesizer version of a Bach piece. This time it's the
Invention in C Minor. I couldn't really decide, which my strongest influence
should be on this arrangement, so it's somewhere in between Carlos and Tomita.

The strings are a Solina sample, coming from LinuxSampler, the rest is
NordLead3. and of course some fantastic plugins and a wonderful recording
software. So this time thanks to Joel, for his continuous and tireless work,
to the CALF team for the superb phaser and to Tim Goetze for my favourite
plate reverb! the list could go on, but these are the most forming pieces of
software - or art - in this piece.
Feedback as ever is welcome, otherwise, just enjoy.

Hey ralf!
I don't see anything riskyu about the panning. We all have stereo. At least
we all should. Had it for decades. I remember a radioplay of the late 60s,
which they announced as: "A next we will braodcast the stereophonic
radioplay..." :-)

What about "einbeinig" playing by radio or people listening by
headphones, who are deaf on one ear etc.?
OT:
Btw. there's a nice Linux flanger or phaser that does exactly the
panning you can hear on Jimi Hendrix' "The Cry of Love".
I suspect they produced it using 2 recorders. Analog and digital effects
usually do sound a little bit different.

Hey Ralf!
I must admit, tha my music is not, what you might always call accessible,
but it's not necessary and soI feel quite good about it. It's all about
showing off, what we have. At least for me it is. Otherwise I wouldn't just
bother investing more time and sometimes money in my equipment. :-)

Guess:
play my_stereo_file.ogg -c 1 [1]
would do the trick in most cases (like this one). And of course it also
enables you to do more sophisticated stuff with 'remix' etc.

This is cool, it reminds me very much of Tomita. I like the swirly
panning, not risky at all. :-)

Oh, it's good to hear, that the influences show. :-) Yeah, that phaser

I don't deserve much thanks for the reverb since it's a direct
adaptation of the design discussed by Dattorro in his '97 effects
paper (he ascribes it as "in the style of Griesinger", who, in turn,
appears slightly reluctant to claim sole authorship himself -- if I
had to have a guess, it would be that the design is the sum of many
ideas from many sources).
Lovely lead sound in your take on BWV 773!

Hello Tim!
Thanks for the comment. The lead sound is my take on a Theremin. Basically a
sine wave with some light vibrato.
If you don't want to take credit for the plate, how about the the AMP 1786
or the chorus 1767? the AMP wasn't used here, but the chorus most certainly
was (on the quieter square wave based sound). :-)
