The Clear Channel patent is one of the 10 that the EFF is asking the US Patent Office to re-examine. There's a short article in Wired about it: http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,64038,00.html While the 10 are worrying, I think the Seer Systems and Acacia patents are particularly worrying from the point of view of free, open systems.
