Mandrake:
wxWindows 2.4 and 2.5 are both currently in the contrib repositories. That
means they come on the DVD edition (IIRC), and the 7 CD edition, but not on
the download or regular edition of Mandrake. It also means that it is not
supported by the Mandrake support team, because it is maintained by volunteers.

If found some info at www.wxwindows.org. It is interesting. My Red Hat
8.0 Cds does not include it.
I think it is better to get latest release from that site instead of
looking for it in some distro CD.

Mandrake:
wxWindows 2.4 and 2.5 are both currently in the contrib repositories.
That means they come on the DVD edition (IIRC), and the 7 CD edition,
but not on the download or regular edition of Mandrake. It also means
that it is not supported by the Mandrake support team, because it is
maintained by volunteers.

Mandrake is a rarity in RPM distros since you can install many different "so-
versions" of the same library in parallel. So we often have two versions
available. In fact, you shouldn't have to install ANY libraries yourself...
urpmi should do it for you.

Debian comes with this package. 2.2 on stable and 2.4 on testing and
unstable. I don't know whether it is installed by default (so you don't
do anything), but I suppose not.
