Thanks for the thoughtful feedback jonetsu, the mixing will indeed be
better for the next album, I learned a lot by working on the first one.
As for visualizing the audio, this isn't "useful" like what you describe
with the 3D field, but you may like it:

We are running a contest/challenge which started yesterday if anyone is
interested:

We are also trying to get the YouTube show Tested interested in it. Let me
know if you don't feel like following the contest link but would like more
info about it.
Cheers,

Hi Linux audio users,
My band's debut album has just been released for high quality
streaming on SoundCloud. Track 4 is also available for free download.
Previously only track 4 was available on there. The album was
available for streaming on BandCamp since June, but the streaming
quality was terrible.

Ellipsis was recorded and produced entirely using free open source
software such as Ardour, ZynAddSubFX, Hydrogen, etc. It was released
June 2016.

I welcome any feedback on the album.
Listened to a few pieces. Quite nice. This is an excellent use of the
Open Source synths and such. A fair amount of good ideas,
arrangements, and sound crafting in there that can be developed and
pushed further in next releases. The voices are good. The lower tones
can remind a tad Carol Pope.
OTOH, the mix/mastering could be better. The bass tones in "Crystalist"
is way too forward when compared to the other pieces. It can be useful
to see the audio field as a 3D field in which instruments are located
right/left, up/down/ front/back. Having just a bit more depth would
allow to move things around a bit, IMHO. Ideally the listener should
not have to reach for the controls of the sound system.
"A gangster of love". Japanese yakuzas seek the blessing of buddhist
priests. The traditional mafia, the catholic priests. Many mafias
in Russia seek orthodox blessings. There seems to be a pattern there.
Cheers.
