Guitarix release guitarix2-0.22beta1
The next shiny new Guitarix version! Guitarix is a tube amplifier
simulation for jack, with effect modules and an additional stereo
effect chain.

Many things changed in the user interface. Now you can move rack units
by drag and drop (reflecting the signal flow), store individual
settings for each rack unit and use preset banks with several settings
for the whole rack. It's easy to take our "factory presets" and make
your own customized bank, or make your own from scratch and share it
on the Guitarix forum.
There is a new "live play mode" with only the info you need on stage
(it's fullscreen, no other penguins around), and a preset picking mode
with a foot switch (midi or usb, or if you don't have one even the
space bar of your keyboard) and the strings of your guitar to switch
settings.
Rack units are now put into categories, and two new ones are a noise
gate for high noise levels and a univibe emulation. Thanks go to the
developer of abGate and Ryan Billing from Rakarrack who helped
porting his univibe code and made the inclusion of it possible.
This is already too long, please check it out and give feedback if you
find a problem, this version is still beta.

How do you connect things up in JACK & Guitarix so an input sound goes
through Guitarix and out to be heard? Tried it a few weeks ago and could
only successfully set up a feedback loop that made lovely,
traditional-sounding amp feedback (with or without any instrument
connected).

CTRL + p opens a nice window representing jack inputs and outputs... make
your relevant choice there, it should be quite straightforward.

on the 2 Debian (Squeeze and audio optimized) multiboot system used here
the same error occured.
I can't figure out what is the problem, nor find anything on the web
when search the last line of output.
Any help will be appreciate !

I searched for changes in gdkkeysyms.h : 2010-09-08 was a change where all
GDK_xxx symbols were renamed to GDK_KEY_xxx. So if you change "GDK_KEY_"
to "GDK_" I hope it will compile. I'll think about the best way to make
Guitarix
compile with both versions (don't know if I can do it today, I'm not at home).

Anyhow, could you try to configure with
./waf configure --includeconvolver --includeresampler
and I would recommend the --optimization flag.

I think you are right, with these options the source files for
zita-convolver and
zita-resampler are included directly and those linker errors should
disappear. But
I'd like to see the waf configure options that were used and the output of that
command and of "./waf -v", because the configure step need to make sure that
those symbols can be found by the linker.

mmm, strange, that means your zita-convolver and resampler versions are
to old, normal the configure step shot detect that and switch to use the
internal versions.
