Hi, there!
Everything's just easy with pipewire, isn't it?
Well, since pipewire's here I have some problems with it using my
beloved linux-show-player (LiSP) in combination with jack-output.
So, I'd like to use a workaround using console-commands…
I have a build-in audio device and a bluetooth connection, pw-top lists
these devices:
Dummy-Driver
Freewheel-Driver
[…]
alsa-output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo
[…]
bluez_output.[bluetooth-adress].1
[…]
How do I send a stereo or mono audio stream to the bluez-output with a
console command? Can I use aplay? (Because aplay -L doesn't list the
bluetooth speaker…)
Any ideas?

pw-link.
I've also used qpwgraph's patchbay, but I found it a little slower
than pw-link. I use pw-link (and jack-play) via Qt's qprocesses.
pw-link -io will show the ins and outs available. Mine look like:
alsa_output.pci-0000_01_00.1.hdmi-stereo:monitor_FL
alsa_output.pci-0000_01_00.1.hdmi-stereo:monitor_FR
alsa_output.pci-0000_01_00.1.hdmi-stereo:playback_FL

I use pw-link with these arguments:
connectOpts << "j-play:out_1" <<
"alsa_output.usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_DAC-00.analog-stereo:playback_FL";
(and similar for FR. connectOpts is a QstringList)
When it's playing; I can use pw-link -l to show the links:
$ pw-link -l
alsa_output.usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_DAC-00.analog-stereo:playback_FL
|<- j-play:out_1
alsa_output.usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_DAC-00.analog-stereo:playback_FR

play". Fortunately, it's only a *.wav-file that has to be played.
Unfortunately, "pw-play" can't send the stream to the right output by
itself, so four further "pw-link"-commands are necessary.
If I don't use "sleep", "pw-link" comes to action before
"pw-play" can
play anything.
I expect there are better ways, but it works very well
for me.

Still hoping for a better solution… ;)

Does the bluetooth output show in wireplumber? Check with:
wpctl status
If it does, you could set it as the default sink. Say its ID is 57, just do:
wpctl set-default 57
I'm not sure if that works immediately or if you need to restart
Pipewire. To restart:
systemctl --user restart wireplumber pipewire pipewire-pulse

everything but one single cue goes through standard stereo out. It's the
one cue I want to use another output for. That's why changing the

Yes, using IDs might be a good shortcut to make things easier…
But I wanna configure that a single time to last at least the next two
weeks to use it on the show…
I don't think, those IDs are permanent…

delay in your line. You would be able to start jack-play first, with
a -t in the command line to make it transport aware. Then make the

Honestly I just (still) mostly use qjackctl with its 'traditional'
connection window. It seems with my set-up that pipewire (audio)
connections are shown, including bluetooth when it's plugged in together
with jack and alsa clients. I am on an arch-based distro and the Arch
wiki [1] on the topic has been very useful as usual. I do have installed
all of the pipewire-related packages (pipewire-alsa, pipewire-jack,
pipewire-pulse) which I think provide good coverage. For example
pupewire-pulse actually replaces pulseaudio-bluetooth.
