Thanks felipe, Joe, Lee.
The considered opinion of the masses seems to be that no-one knows.
Not even the Agnula/Demudi developers, but they'd be fascinated to find out
exactly how broken my system ends up under sarge.
Well, I suppose that makes it worth trying :-/
cheers anyway

Since the sid packages look to be very old (judging by the ftp server
timestamps) I would expect everything they were depending on to be in
Sarge by now. Can't say for sure though.
Does anyone know much about demudi/Agnula? It looks pretty moribund
judging by the website. I think an audio-centric distro would be a great
thing, but I'm not sure if this one's going anywhere.
Although not audio-specific, I have a lot of hope for Gentoo Linux. It's
based on source code has a good build system and is very up to date.

sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Many things are
changed from woody to
sarge.. I'm using woody plus a number of additional packages compiled
from sources (i.e. audio, kde), since some sid packages would even break
libc compatibility... so you might ask the debian guys at
irc.debian.org
what the situation with woody->sarge is.
hope this helps
