Hello List,
Can someone educate me on the best way to search the archives for the
list? When I go to the web page, I get a monthly view, where I can
download a gzipped archive for the month. I would like to search all
archives at one time. What's the best way to do this?

by far the best way I found for searching, browsing and reading the
archives is gmane.org. Go to
http://news.gmane.org/gmane.linux.audio.users
for the archives of this list.

I usually just combine "linux audio (mailing list archive)" with
a search term. Seems to work quite well.
You could restrict a google search to the site where the archive
is hosted, I think via prepending "site:" or something like that.
