Hey everyone, Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone. For me, I find, at least in my experience around where I live, it's not as simple as finding a website online that shows options for restaurants, as even if the choice they offer was made without gluten, cross-contamination is a real problem. Finding gluten-free kitchens would be the best case scenario, but I know those are probably as rare as unicorns. For example, if I order at a place that uses gluten bread and they make my food on the same surface as the gluten stuff, I can be harmed. It can even be as deep as using the same cutting board even after cleaning it (something that shocked me when I found out about it after doing my research). Also, I don't have the strongest of in-the-moment symptoms to eating gluten, meaning I can be harming myself permanently and not even knowing it (I know this sounds dramatic, but it's true!) To top all of this off, if you decide to try to eat a gluten-free option at a restaurant that also does stuff with gluten, you have to have a good discussion with the chef of the restaurant to make sure you're on the same page, something that I have a little anxiety about in a country where I don't speak the language (I'm sure many people speak English and/or Portuguese there). Anyways, sorry to vent a little bit here, but I hope this gives a fuller picture of the things I need to watch out for.
