I have a slight problem using jack-play since I'm using Pipewire and
I wonder if anyone knows of an alternative I could try.
pw-play is unsuitable because it isn't transport aware.
I reported the bug / problem I have at:

It's an odd one.

Ecasound can play files and respond to jack transport
start/stop and seek changes.

That appears to be a fork. My first instinct is that the effort would
have been more usefully applied helping falktx with maintenance and
cleanup of the existing jack code, but I don't know the history of the
fork.
