1. Libsndfile-dev debian package was defective. Hand edited the pkconfig file. Latest and greatest on Debian may be OK. 2. Inserting the brackets in that switch statement enables that to compile. 3. rack.cpp reads a node.h file. There is one such file in the muse directories and one such file in the kde/qt3 directories. The latter was being used which was a no go. Made a more specific path in rack.cpp. 0.8 runs quite nicely :-)
