Hi Massy!
Good point - sorry about not doing that in my OP! So for Massy, Julien
and anyone else who can't access Soundcould via conventional means:

That's a fun little tune with lots of fun sounds and effects. I
especially like the synth percussion sounds, like at 00:24: how were
they achieved?
I'm very happy you like it! Thanks for listening and giving feedback too!
The 'synth percussion' you mention is actually a couple of sampler
tracks creating using samplv1 under qtractor. Those tabla parts are
the only bits of the tracks that used samplv1 as everything else is
Aspect or achieved by plain audio mixing with qtractor.
The stereo image feels a little odd to me with the bass synth in one
channel only; I probably would have mixed it rather differently. Then
again, I'm rather ignorant when it comes to this style of music.
I'd be lying if I pretended I'd spent 1/10th of the time on the mix
versus time spent creating the sounds and rhythms as the mix is
admittedly a bit of a rush job. I was questioning the positioning of
that bass myself as it is central to the track so could've possibly
benefited with being mixed centrally too but I'm not going to be
losing sleep over it as this is essentially just a test for the
qtractor, samplv2 + Aspect combo which has proven to be a winner for
me.
Cheers,
S.M.
Thanks again SM!
