Csound is really great for experimenting with sounds and with Csound5
you can also use Jack for realtime in- and output. The synth sounding
like a bell is a really simple Csound instrument: Just a sine wave with
long attack and realease time. The bass synth is a little more complex
because it uses some layered freerunning saw, square and sine waves.
P.S. I didn't even know you *could* sequence
hydrogen
from an external. Care to go into a little bit more
detail on what this entails?
Hydrogen accepts note-on messages, so you can trigger its samples via
midi. I created one standard drum pattern in MusE, copied it all over
the whole song and varied every single pattern by hand.
