Hi,
This is an original song I recently submitted for the OSMP Tunestorm, huge
thanks to ssj71 for a fun podcast with a bunch of great submissions!

I also wanted to use this song as demo of Harrison Mixbus3 on the upcoming
AV Linux 2016 so I screencasted the session for people to see what is
being used, lots of great work by our Linux Audio developers is contained
within!

Hi Will,
Thanks very much, it indeed took some time but not as much as you may
think, basically 2 separate passes of the song one with the editor window
and one with the mixer and then cutting away bits of both video tracks.
The most time consuming part was the repeated crashing of Kdenlive 15.08..
:/. I certainly won't be doing one for every song I release. :).

Hey hey Glen,
this is a fine song. I love the almost proggy attitude. NICELY orchestrated too. If there
was a point of criticism, then it would be, that I have the feeling, that the vocals
slightly 'push' the rest of the mix to the background. Very nice song and
interesting podcast! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for listening and commenting, This mix was a little more
full-bodied than my usual routine so you may indeed be right that I was a
little over-zealous about not obscuring the vocal. Unfortunately I was the
only vocalist available at the time and am constantly plagued by vocal
self-loathing...lol

Congratulations on this song, I love the prog-rock ballad vibe! The vocal
and production fits the style in my opinion.

Thanks! It makes me laugh that people call it prog, I wasn't thinking that
at all, my son calls it 'space blues'. But maybe that's what prog is...

Yes. Maybe the term 'progressive rock' is abused a little nowadays
since artists tend to mix so many different styles together, BUT for
me regarding this specific song it's very reminiscent of Pink Floyd
with the synth/organ arrangments and the minimalistic but on point
guitar work. Also the conversational voice tone kind reminds me of
King Crimson which is always a plus on my book.
So, call it what you will it's still a great song. Congratulations
again!

progressive rock is when the keyboarder tells me i'm wrong because we
segue from 2nd bridge directly into part K double-prime without going
through vamp F, and could the drummer please tune his c-sharp rototom
because it is flat.
