Hi Paul, you probably need a newer compiler. It compiles fine for me with g++ version 4.7.3. The synth looks really nice. However, I cannot seem to get any sound out of it. Yes, it needs a newer compiler. jalv.qt doesn't (yet) have any preset management, so you will need to use another tool for that. QTractor and Ardour should work. I created a ticket for better initialization https://github.com/timowest/rogue/issues/76 Br, Timo

Hi Timo, I updated and recompiled and now I finally managed to get sound out of Rogue, both with QTractor and Ardour. I've had very little time to play around with it, but it looks (and sounds) like a really nice synthesizer. However, the default preset still does not give me sound. I get the impression that preset loading does not work properly: I can load different presets and some parameters seem to change, but only a few and to me the presets all sound very, very similar; hence, I suspect that a range of parameters don't get loaded from the preset properly. Not sure how to debug this, though. Any ideas? Cheers, Burkhard

The issue has now been fixed https://github.com/timowest/rogue/issues/80 Qtractor is a bit stricter with the lv2 ttl sources, so I had to tune the preset serialization. I was thinking about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moog_Rogue it was the first synth we had in a teeny band. Dirk Brauner, owner of Brauner microphones owned the Realistic version, when we were around 15 or 16 years old, a long time before we became professional audio engineers or even were able to make good music. It's a mono synth with pseudo-polyphony. :D
