Hey,
What is the best command line (or other) way to convert 24/48K to CD
quality wiv
files on linux?
I can't seem to get ecasound to do the right stuff and I think sox is
not 24 bit capable.

hi, mhwaveedit should be able to do so. it is easy to use and it has a
nice gui.

Hi!
Sox should be 24bit capable. If not take the sndfile suite, see here:
http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/
As you know sox works with command-li9ne, so do the sndfile-* utilities.
To get it easier, check your distros packages, it should be there.

Hey, Thanks for the suggestions (all) , but I can't find
sndfile-resample in either the
libsndfile-1.0.17.tar.gz
distribution that I had installed or the
libsndfile-1.0.18pre20.tar.gz
distribution that I just downloaded. Should it be near sndfile-convert
which
is in the examples dir?

You could also use the resample app that comes with
libzita-resample.

sndfile-resample is actually part of libsamplerate which is
available here:
