Not that many of you live in Korea but I am playing a live ambient set
tomorrow night using only my computer.

The software I will be using: spiralsynthmodular x1, alsaplayer x3,
jackeq x1, and jack timemachine to hopefully record it all.
I also have been working for the past month with ardour and audacity
creating a lot of the samples which I will inject into the soundscape
with alsaplayer.
This will be my first real gig performing my music. Not just djing other
peoples cuts (which I have been enjoying doing for the past 3 years).
It wouldn't be possible for me to accomplish this without the awesome
assistance from Steve Harris who designed the djeq plugin and dj flange.
I'm also relying heavily on the latest cvs version of ssm as it has
improvements to the jack plugin and echo plugin among other things which
I will be thrashing heavily :).
I feel this is important to let y'all know about because I have worked
(and I mean work) for the past 4 years to get to this position and in
the process I had a lot of fun with and help from many of you to get here.
I chose not to invest in windows or mac apps 5 years ago and I am
pleased that my gamble and investment in time and energy has paid off.
Big ups to all the people who are following the dream through to concept
through to reality.

discipline and panicked, toppling the cart. At that point, the rockets

with vinyl only digital.

soundclick is very easy to use and the registration is pretty much
hassle free. People can listen to the stuff without registering. o maybe
it's a good choice to put the stuff there..
But i think max mp3 file size is 10mb though

Well, that was fun.
It turned out to be more of a test run than anything else. In the end I
decided not to record. Probably a good thing too because my
concentration was broken by a overly chatty dancer who decided to tell
me their life story just as I hit my zone :-/
The good news is we have been asked to do the night once a month. This
means we can get a smoother flow and atmosphere happening. I think you
can all look forward to some crazy shit coming from these sessions over
the next few months (or year).
As an idea. It could be a good chance to showcase other peoples ambient
works or samples. If you have anything you think could fit let me know
and I'll try to incorporate it into the set.

Did you get any pics? I'm sure many people are and
more will be curious about the usability of Linux
tools. It might be interesting if you published a page
of your performances.
It could be useful to have a page on the LAD site with
links to pages where Linux audio tools are used by
bands, DJs, composers, studios, audio research, etc.
Or does that already exist?

Yeah here we are preparing for a winter solstice lunch tomorrow. I'll
get onto it this week though. Gotta keep the promotion and media blitz
pumping for a little while to make the most of this opportunity.

There is another option way from what Mark suggested. I already have the
gigs guide for Korea on djcj.org. It wouldn't be much work for me to set
it up so we can use a similar version for Linux audio pereformances.
Just worldwide instead.
