Hello everyone!
I have mentioned a simple lv2-host and have been convinced, that something
like that existed. But after some searching on google and apps.linuxaudio.org
and the lv2plug.in site, it seems I'm mistaken or the tool is hiding from me
with great tanacity and success. Can any one give me a pointer?

It's part of the SLV2 package and called 'lv2_jack_host'

I looked at lv2file (http://code.google.com/p/lv2file/) how to write a
host - but it's also a bit messy ;)

As a beginner to lv2 & plugin programming I found the "example" host that
came with SLV2 library a great help.
There are 2 "example" hosts in there, one is the afore mentioned
"lv2_jack_host.c", and the one I'd
recommend reading is "lv2_simple_jack_host.c". It has 260 lines, and is a
*full working* lv2 host. Just don't load
plugins that have fancy features, caus its not got much error checking ;-)
That's what got me understanding Lv2, check it out!

experimenting, I have to isntall a new raptor version from source, so it
seems.

Really depends on your sources file, I've got them all from repos, (running
a hybrid of TangoStudio, PPA's, Ubuntu etc!)
Search around if you don't wanna build from source.. I don't know what
distro your running, so can't help ya there!

I already looked and installed, but it seems to be too old, since I get an
error, while linking. But I've installed raptor once before, so no problem
there. :-)
