This has to be very basic, but I'm unable to find

a command-line way play a clip in an infinite loop, without audio

$ mplayer -loop 0 loop.flac
and
$ vlc -L loop.flac
both stop for a few seconds before repeating. I'd prefer something
that works both with jack and plain ALSA, of course :)
This is worth a try. Let me know. :)
ecasound -i:audioloop,loop.flac -o:jack,system
ecasound -i:audioloop,loop.flac -o:alsa,default
