Hello all-
I have a Digigram VXpocket v2 sound card for my Fujitsu laptop, and
have gotten as far as adding entries in /etc/pcmcia/config to get the
card recognized by cardmgr on insertion, and adding the lines
alias snd-card-1 snd-vxpocket
alias sound-slot-1 snd-vxpocket
post-install snd-vxpocket /usr/bin/vxloader
to /etc/modules.conf.
But when the card is inserted I get this in /var/log/messages:
Aug 23 10:47:17 localhost cardmgr[804]: socket 0: Digigram VXpocket
Aug 23 10:47:17 localhost cardmgr[804]: executing: 'modprobe snd-vxpocket'

The modules "snd-vxpocket", "snd-vx-cs", "snd-vx-lib" and
"snd-hwdep"
are loaded after the card insertion, despite the messages saying that
"insmod snd-vxpocket" failed. But the card is not recognized by ALSA.
I'm running Fedora Core 1 with Planet CCRMA, kernel
2.4.26-1.ll.rhfc1.ccrma, and all my alsa packages are
1.0.4-1.cvs.rhfc1.ccrma.
I am totally stumped as to why the vxloader program won't see my card.
I'm apparently using version 1.0 of vxloader, and I've found that
there is a slightly newer version of the program (1.0.5) that I will
try as soon as I can. Does anyone have any ideas about this problem?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
