I appreciate all the suggestions. I can appreciate the fact that some think it is 'stupid' 'cause you should just tune it to what you like or what you need at the time. However, I'm tuning this violin to lean to play. Since I'm learning i want to be as close to a common tuning as i can, so that i learn the fingering correctly. Thanks all, Bearcat M. Sandor
