Hi
I like to announce the first release of GxPlugins.lv2
GxPlugins.lv2 is a set of mostly analogue guitar pedal simulations as
LV2 plugins, simulated with the guitarix ampsim toolkit.
They contain the following plugs:
GxBottleRocket.lv2 - -> tube based preamp pedal
GxHotBox.lv2 - -> tube based preamp pedal
GxVBassPreAmp.lv2 - -> transistor based Bass preamp
GxSuppaToneBender.lv2 - -> transistor based preamp
GxHyperion.lv2 - -> transistor based Fuzz pedal
GxVoodoFuzz.lv2 - -> transistor based Fuzz pedal
GxSaturator.lv2 - -> saturation plugin
GxVintageFuzzMaster.lv2 - -> transistor based Fuzz pedal
GxSuperFuzz.lv2 - -> transistor based Fuzz pedal
GxVmk2.lv2 - -> transistor based solid stage preamp
GxUVox720k.lv2 - -> transistor based solid stage preamp
GxSlowGear.lv2 - -> volume swell plugin
GxGuvnor.lv2 - -> transistor based overdrive pedal
GxToneMachine.lv2 - -> transistor based Fuzz pedal
I hope they may be useful for the one or the other.

I tried to make an AUR package for the relase version, but unfortunately
the build instructions in the readme do not work for the release tarball
[1], because it does not contain the .git directory and therefore 'git
submodule init/update' doesn't work.
Is it possible to provide a release tarball with the sources of all
plugins already included?

included as source code in release files. Also I can't delete the
non-working archive/v0.1 files without delete the release at all. A pity.
But, I've put up a release file which contain all sources, it's the

BTW: I noticed that some plugins compile at the "make" and some at the
"make install" step. Maybe streamline the makefiles a bit?
Also, would it be possible to define INSTALL_DIR with ?= so it can be
overwritten from the make command line? Relying on the effective UID for
its value seems likely to break some packaging build systems.

Oh, they all build on the make step, but, they all rebuild on the make
install step as well. So for build/install you could leave out the make
step, it's useless in this case. That's because I move the builded
binary's into the bundle dir instead copy them over, that forces make to
re-build on any step. I do that because at least all plugs will provide
2 different build options. Build with GTK UI or build with MOD UI.
Currently only a few of them providing a MOD UI, so this step wont work
on the Plugin Bundle, but later on it will, and then they all will
behave the same during build. However, I guess that is what you notice,
then some plugs running "clean" before make, to clean up the bundle dir
from previous builds which may contain the wrong UI definitions.
