For a long time I have been interested in setting up an internet-based
band. in doing a bit of searching for possible platgorms, I just dicovered
kompoz.com. Seems a nice way of collaborating in tracks. Anyone here used
it or have any recommendations for similar/better sites?

Hello James!
Do you know about packet-in.org, formally the Linux Audio chillout Band.
It's a simple interface, by just using ftp for uploads and it's a small
community. We've mainly worked together for the RPM challenges.

Hi Julien,
This does look an excellent approach, although at present it seems rather
focused towards a single band - and a rather intimidating line-up at that!
Were you envisaging it being extended to multiple different groupings and
simultaneous projects? I guess as it grows, the potential complexities also
grow though...

As small as it is right now, we are not exactly focused on parallel
projects. But in theoryit would be possible. Though the complete platform is
not really geared towards that. so it's single projects, involving whoever
wants to take part.
