I would like to come and bring the position sensing drum pad I built. (
see

wow, great job.
I take it you know
http://createdigitalmusic.com/2008/12/intimate-control-multi-touch-new-mode…
which seems to be very similar.
Not sure if I would have enough material
for a full article though
http://www.instructables.com/id/A-position-sensitive-midi-drum-pad/
looks like it's a great basis for one already.
It can be on the lower end of the suggested page-count. And I guess that
explaining how the hw/sw works and giving a short demo will easily fill
a 30 min presentation.
Basically we'd like to encourage authors to submit some lasting
documentation that others can built upon, reference and discuss.
just grab
http://wiki.linuxaudio.org/_media/lac2011/lac2011-templates.tar.bz2 -
it's easier than you think.
- are you planning any short sessions for
people just to show quickly what they have been working on in an
informal way?
andy
There have been quite some informal demo sessions which were not on the
program at LACs. - You know how this goes when hackers & artists get
together..
It might be a good idea to allot a timeslot for lightning-talks and
short presentations, because some of said demos accounted for less
participation in concurrent main-tracks.
I'm CCing the the organizing committee on this.
