I fail to hear the experimental aspect in the track. Everything moves

Ah, that is much more my cup of tea, when it comes to synth music. I like
the darkness of it. Also the textures. They sound grand. I suppose a few
effect sounds might have been nice too. But as I said: It's very enjoyable. Is
that all Zyn?

Yes it is indeed 100% Zyn... well Yoshimi actually. The release version of Zyn
can't actually handle this in one pass and one instance.

As always, this piece showcases your ability to create compositions, the
texture and layering of which are as much, if not more of an art than the
musical structure itself: very evocative! The phased accordion is like a
free drug trip. :)
Starting at 04:09 your pad has an ultra-high harmonic that is quite
painful to the ear: you might consider filtering it out.

Hey Will,
Interesting piece! I'm thinking Vangelis while listening.
I was waiting for a long time for a beat to come and give a "heart beat".
I'm sure I heard some rhythmic instruments there for a while (also
Zyn?) but it wasn't on the level I would have liked :)
A nice listen in any case!

There is indeed a sort of soft drum sound in the second section. It starts just
before the 'Overdrive' lead.
All sounds, including the percussive ones were produced in a single instance of
Yoshimi (a Zyn. fork). I used Rosegarden to record, and play back MIDI
improvisations in real time. Then layered more improvisations on top.

I like that, Folderol, most of all the ambient of the first section. There
are some pads over the end that reminds me of Jarre's early records.
Really impresive it's all improvised.
