Hi all,
After a long period of lethargy, with a help from Wladimir J. van der
Laan, I have revived Power Station Industrializer, a percussion sound
synthesizer base on physical modelling.

What is new in psindustrializer-0.2.6:
Code upgrade for build against modern environment (autotools,
gtk+-2, gtkglarea is replaced by gtkglext, esound is replaced by pulseaudio)
Jack audio driver
GUI improvements
Config and presets files syntax is improved (read compatibility
with old formats is preserved)
Sound drivers can be configurable (this facility is so far
implemented for ALSA driver)
Bugfixes

Hi Yury,
For me, physical modeling of anything for Linux is always interesting,
so I downloaded and compiled the program.
I believe that this might be something useful, but MIDI implementation
would make it a lot easier to test and use it. The tabs was also a
little confusing and could be replaced by option boxes IMO, but that
does not make it a showstopper, I will keep an eye on the project and
see what's coming.
A small note: I compiled it and installed it with the prefix:
/usr/local, but the programs look for its libs in /usr/lib, so I had to
link from /usr/local/lib in there in order to make it work.
Good luck with the project, looking forward to see how it develops.

Hi Jostein,
Thanks a lot for your reply! What about MIDI, this is not
straightforward, because resampling would be required to play different
notes, which I don't like so much. Another (correct) option is
synthesizing sounds with proper pitch, but this will require too much
CPU power, especially with big models (planes, pipes). So the compromise
option is synthesizing enough sounds with different pitches and using it
with a MIDI sequencer.

I get strange errors at linking stage, no matter whether using the supplied configure or a
regenerated by ./autogen.sh one. I include the libtool and gcc commands that lead to this,
in case that helps diagnosing.

Any insight? There is a lot of duplication for include paths and other options, but I
cannot see why that symbol is included twice, the object files are named only once.

the patch works for me, the program got linked and installed without any more errors now.
However there's a little inconvenience that IMHO could confuse less experienced users
when trying to instal from sourcel:
After installing psindustrializer it would not run. I had to separately do a root
"make install" in psphysmod/ and also run "ldconfig".
I thought I should mention that, maybe this can be cared for by the build tools or at
least be mentioned in the README.md. Or is that specific to my Tumbleweed system again?
the sounds are very nice, thanks for your work!
