Greetings:
While profiling FLAC I discovered that the format includes a metadata
format for including cue sheet data for use in CD mastering
applications. When I looked for a Linux-based cue sheet editor I found
only the very outdated CDB (CD Builder), which, true to its author's
advice, will not build under GTK 1.2 or 2.x. I thought perhaps JAM would
concern itself with cue sheet data but I think that's not its domain
(the FLAC docs note that the cue sheet data is intended for CD authoring
apps).
Btw, I downloaded and tried running some Windows-based cue sheet
editors under WINE, with varying success, but none were completely
useful. Maybe I should update my WINE installation again, but I'd prefer
a Linux-based solution anyway.
Sorry for the cross-post, I thought perhaps someone on LAD might be
developing such a creature (?). Do any users on LAU utilize a cue sheet
editor for any of their work ?

You mean PQ codes? According to Bob Katz (I'm just reading his book on
mastering) these should always be supplied as hard copy to the
mastering house, in addition to any metadata supplied on tape or
disc. In the early days of CD production, the PQ data would be
entered by hand at the CD plant anyway.

It saves in cdrdao's .toc format rather than .cue, but they're
both text based cue sheet formats.... I've used gcdmaster myself
in the past with some success, but then I use cdrdao to burn my
audio CDs anyway.

i'm glad you mentioned gcdmaster, because i remember it was a handy program
indeed, but i can't make it work now.
the only binaries i found is a very old version (1.1.5). sources are now
integrated, if understand correctly, to the cdrdao tree, but i can't build
it. (i mean, i can build cdrdao but no the graphical interface). the problem
is i can't get to compile what seems to be necessary to build gcdmaster,
namely gnomemm.
where are you guys getting gcdmaster?

It kinda looks like you don't have libgnomemm (Gnome--)
installed, which is a C++ wrapper for Gnome and upon which
gcdmaster is based. I don't know how helpful it'll be, but
here's the cdrdao spec file for the Mandrake RPM (gcdmaster is
part of the stock 9.1 distribution, since it's built from the
cdrdao source RPM):

I'm guessing it's the libgnomemm thing though.
