Searching the archive, there has been very little mention of
SuperCollider on this list in the past year. I have been learning
SuperCollider since the summer and think it's super. I wanted to share
with you all what I have made: a tool called SCVamp for improvising
music with a GUI programmed in SuperCollider.

You might like to listen to some examples. Here are two zips of mp3s.
The first set contains nine mp3s (about 45 minutes of music), and the
second has two mp3s (10 minutes of music); each set uses different
synth sounds and scales. All of the tracks were improvised with this
SuperCollider program and recorded in Ardour; they were also very
quickly processed with Jamin.

including the system autobooting into "emacs -sclang" in such a way that I
could do a remote login to monitor it.

There has been some progress on getting it to run on x86-64 without problems.
I am not sure what the current status is, but it should be working by now, I
believe. Both Stefan Kersten and James McCartney have been working on it in
the past year.

if you just want the ugens, a number have been ported (look for sc4pd in the CVS repo)
as for running scserver inside pd, not sure. proably jack is better?

I don't know... I have never really used Pd.
SuperCollider is enough for me to do live audio DSP...
but you could of course send OSC messages from Pd to scsynth and control
scsynth from there...
