Brilliant, Julien! Loved the feeling of the piano, and the sound was fantastic! I'm going to have to do some more research into the convolving reverb, as the reverb you had on the piano was awesome. Lingering and distinct, yet not overpowering. The piano sample was one of the most realistic I've heard. Bravo, man. One note, if I may, the static on the vocal track coming in and out was a bit distracting from the beautiful piano sound. Other than that, I think it was beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Hi Jason! Thanks for the compliment. Yes, the vocal recording wasn't too good. But I had to record it while playing toget the timing right. I tried to compensate for the noise a little, but there wasn't much. At least not in such a short time. I recorded it early this evening. The piano is the sampletekk.com Black Grand Medium Ambient version. The reverb is from the Dramaten Theater. It was one of the free ones, that Dave had on his site, in the csound category. I suppose you can look for it. The reverbed track was partly panned with an oscillator and I put a filter on, that was also modulated by an LFO, so the it would be very damp in the centre. Just for a second at the beginning I thought I was listening to some Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack. (hope you like him more than Roger Waters ;) ) Really nice piano sound, I concur with the other responses. Didn't know about Sampletekk. It is a short piece, it could has some seed to make it a bit longer. It's a long standing tradition to loath him. :-) As for the length: for once I concurred with a German comedian, who siad: "If you don't have anything to say, just shut the fuck up." He is very multi-facetted his first success was somewhat like japanese folk blended with 60ies Beat/Popmusic. Later he wrote big orchestral scores and even touched the realms of (lighter) Avantgarde classics. His craft is remarkable and he gave many films a very adeaquate musical background.
