Hello,
I am new to this list.
I am getting a make error whenever I try to compile libhydrogen-0.8.0
Here is what I get:

Here are the specifics of my setup:
850mHzCeleron.
alsa -0.9.2
jack-audio-connection-kit-0.80.0
hydrogen/libhydrogen-0.8.0
SB-Live! soundcard
distro: lfs-4.0
also, Is there any command I can ive to check and make sure jack is working?
I don't have any Jack-Aware apps installed that I know of - yet =)

try using the standard command line to start jack:
jackd -d alsa -d hw
if nothing happens, then jack isn't working....
d.
also, Is there any command I can ive to check and make
sure jack is working?
I don't have any Jack-Aware apps installed that I know of - yet =)

JACK includes some command line style example-clients. They don't do
much, but they should work. Some people use jack_metro to test
playback. Don't forget to jack_connect its output port, otherwise you
won't hear anything, and everything will seem broken. For capture,
you could try jackrec.

This is not necessary in this case. When you first start it up, Hydrogen
automatically connects itself to the default jack output pair. As of the
latest CVS update, this behavior can be turned on and off in the preferences
dialog.

I also had jack-related trouble when I tried to build 0.8.0. My solution was
to grab the CVS version:

The CVS version also has a number of significant improvements over the last
official release, including better jack functionality.

You need to install libtool, or it's not in your system path because the
compiler can't find it.

Your problem is that the libtool program is missing or not found by the
compiler.
Have you tried to execute the ./autogen.sh script before ./configure?
Can you post the configure output?
