Hi LAU/LAD, Anyone had luck compiling Bristol [1] recently? Both the AUR pacakge (seems sami-unmaintained) [2] and trying to compile from source fail with a bunch of errors. Besides an issue with the inclusion of alsa/iatomic.h which can probably just be removed, there seem to be a bunch of warnings (?) I do see that the latest release is 2013 so it's unsurprising that it won't compile on a more 'recent' system (I'm using Manjaro). So I'm wondering if the software is abandoned? Which is a pity because while I mostly use Yoshimi these days for 'synth needs' Bristol could definitely make some cool sounds with its emulated synths. [LAD] jack_is_realtime(client) issues

Hi I running into issues with the jack_is_realtime(client) currently. The issue is, when the user didn't have permission to run real-time tasks, jackd starts with no real-time permission but jack_is_realtime(client) reports true as soon the -R is in the jackd commandline. The same is true for jack_client_real_time_priority(client). This call reports the real-time priority given in the command line, but not the one in use. So, when jackd starts without real-time priority, but -R is given on the command-line, it reports the priority from jackdrc while it runs at SCHED_OTHER without any priority. Now, when I want to start my own threads I cant relay on the values reported by jackd, which render the functions useless. I need to run my own tests in order to check if real-time priority could be set by the user or not. regards hermann

[LAD] Faust and runtime constant parameters

Hey hey, I'm looking for a quicktip or the right section of the manual. I'm looking at Faust, specifically the oberheim.dsp example. This filter has a frequency given as a normalised frequency in the range of 0 to 1. As far as I have been able to work out: this means that the real frequency is multiplied by ma.SR ot ma.SR / 2. As a parameter range for a plugin or something this is not very useful. So, how can I create a parameter that is rescaled using ma.SR or any of such constants, that cannot be known at compile time? [LAD] NeuralRack v0.2.0 released

NeuralRack is a Neural Model and Impulse Response File loader for Linux/Windows available as Stand alone application, and in the Clap, LV2 and vst2 plugin format. It supports [*.nam files](https://www.tone3000.com/search?tags=103) and, or [*.json or .aidax files](https://www.tone3000.com/search?tags=23562) by using the [NeuralAudio](https://github.com/mikeoliphant/NeuralAudio) engine. For Impulse Response File Convolution it use [FFTConvolver](https://github.com/HiFi-LoFi/FFTConvolver) Resampling is done by [Libzita-resampler](https://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/zita-resam… New in this release: - implement Mix mode for IR convolver. - implement support for ASIO control panel (Windows) ![NeuralRack](https://github.com/brummer10/NeuralRack/raw/main/NeuralRack.png?raw=true) Neuralrack allow to load up to two model files and run them serial. The input/output could be controlled separate for each model. For tone sharping a 6 band EQ could be enabled. Additional it allow to load up a separate Impulse Response file for each output channel (stereo). Neuralrack provide a buffered Mode which introduce a one frame latency when enabled. It could move one Neural Model, or the complete processing into a background thread. That will reduce the CPU load when needed. The resulting latency will be reported to the host so that it could be compensated. Change-log: - Give some slack time to stabilize, when updating or changing audio bus channel counts, mitigating the probability to fault when unregistering old and registering new PipeWire/JACK ports in immediate succession. - Transport/Loop Set behavior slightly changed, now toggling the loop range if the edit-head/tail match current loop-start/end. - Introducing Aux-Send audio bus I/O matrix functionality. - Corrected greater-than-2-channel audio clip waveform drawing, while on certain zoom levels, an old bug lurking there since dawn, quite an example to the evil of too-early optimization ;) - Draw all audio clip peaks+rms waveforms slightly compressed, so that low-level signals have improved visibility. - Warn when saving any type of session into an extracted archive directory. [LAD] Fluida.lv2 v0.9.4 released
