NeuralRack is a Neural Model and Impulse Response File loader for Linux/Windows. For Impulse Response File Convolution it use [FFTConvolver](https://github.com/HiFi-LoFi/FFTConvolver) Resampling is done by [Libzita-resampler](https://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/zita-resam… This release introduce a modernised UX. ![NeuralRack](https://github.com/brummer10/NeuralRack/raw/main/NeuralRack.png?raw=true) Neuralrack allow to load up to two model files and run them serial. The input/output could be controlled separate for each model. For tone sharping a 6 band EQ could be enabled. Additional it allow to load up a separate Impulse Response file for each output channel (stereo). Neuralrack provide a buffered Mode which introduce a one frame latency when enabled. It could move one Neural Model, or the complete processing into a background thread. That will reduce the CPU load when needed. The resulting latency will be reported to the host so that it could be compensated. [LAD] pd lop~ and hip~

Hello all, I recently wanted to use Puredata to do some simple simulation. In particular this required the first order filters lop~ and hip~, Both emulate what would be a simple RC filter in the analog world. Results were not what I expected, and after some further investigation it turned out the both filters were not doing what one could reasonably expect. First order LP and HP would be something like x = *inp++; z += c * (x - z); out++ = z; // for LP out++ = x - z; // for HP where z is the filter state and c is the filter coefficient dependent on the cutoff (-3 dB) frequency. The pd versions don't even add up to unity gain when configured for the same cutoff frequency. Apparently they use different ways to calculate c, and in both cases that calculation is wrong. How something so simple and basic is still completely broken after more than 30 years escapes me. [1] Now, to be 'constructive', the correct way to compute c would be f = cutoff_frequency / sample_rate; a = 2 * (1 - cos (2 * pi * f); c = (sqrt (a * (a + 4)) - a) / 2; A good approximation (less than 1% relative error) for 0 <= f <= 0.5 could be c = 2 * pi * f * (1 + f * (3.45f + 4.27f * f)); Now one may want to have f > 0.5 to emulate the analog version in some cases. In that case this will work fine: if (f <= 0.474f) { c = 6.2831853f * f / (1 + f * (3.45f + 4.27f * f)); } else { c = 0.79799 + f / 16; if (c >= 1.0f) c = 1.0f; } With this c will continue to rise for f > 0.5, and reach unity at approx f = 3.23. [1] I know the IEM externals have better versions. But that's IMHO no excuse to leave this mess as it is, both wrong AND nowhere documented. Ciao, -- FA

Change-log: - Fixed non-zero clip offset conversion on tempo(BPM) time-scale changes. - MIDI clip step input and overdubbing now aggregated and fully undo/redo-able. - Allow MIDI step input to extend the clip length automatically; also avoid step input event duplicates (eg. playing chords in quick succession) leading to potential double-free segfault or crash. - Fixed MIDI track state when clips under record/overdubbing are simply removed. - Fixed all empty/void audio clips that are created when aborting an armed recording session. - MIDI clip editor (aka. piano-roll): simply allow a MIDI track to be a ghost of itself. - In addition to clips and markers, automation curves and tempo-map nodes now also contribute to the total session length and status. - Fixed command line parsing (QCommandLineParser/Option) to not exiting the application with a segfault when showing help and version information. [LAD] [ANN] QmidiCtl 1.0.2 - An Early Spring'25 Release

Hello again! QmidiCtl 1.0.2 (early spring'25) is released! QmidiCt [1] is a MIDI remote controller application that sends MIDI data over the network, using UDP/IP multicast. Inspired by multimidicast [6] and designed to be compatible with ipMIDI for Windows [7]. QmidiCtl [1] was long ago designed for the Maemo [8] enabled handheld devices, namely the late Nokia N900 [9] and promoted to the Maemo Package [10] repositories. Nevertheless, QmidiCtl [1] may still be found effective as a regular desktop application and recently as an Android application as well.
