Radium Compressor is the system compressor in Radium,
but distributed as a standalone jack application.
Radium Compressor uses the stereo compressor found in
effect.lib in the Faust distribution.
This compressor is written by Julius O. Smith III.
The GUI shows accurately the sound used for compression,
and how much the sound is being compressed.
I haven't seen this in any audio compressor GUI before,
but it's probably been done before.

Youtube has an automated content matching system, which is known for giving
occasional false positives, like someone trying to claim bird song field
recordings as music off an album, or in my case one of the more notable is
one of the videos where I had a wireless mic short out, and the brief
period of pops, crackles, etc. apparently matched a recording of 'Burning
Down the House'.
So probably what happened is that it came up with a match in the automated
system, whether it is correct or not I don't know. You can say you
disagree with it should you choose through Youtube's interface, and give a
reason. It may or may not make much difference, so think about it
carefully.

Youtube found a rap song that uses the same loop. It's likely that the
clip
I used was originally sampled from that song, but at the same time it's

I get the same message about the video being blocked
on copyright
grounds (I'm in Germany, too). It doesn't surprise me at all since
youtube has given major music industry companies the ability to block
content on their own.. And there have been quite a few false
positives.
IIRC you can mark the block as frivolous somewhere in the youtube
interface..

In many cases, they don't block, but instead request to put ads on your
content and they make money from the views. But it really depends on the
content and the supposed copyright holder.

Saw the video - neat. How can this be used in Ardour
? Does it
interface like a regular effect ?
Thank you. You can use it as a Jack insert in Ardour.
I don't think I'll make an lv2 plugin of it (but patches are welcome!),
but I'll probably make a VST plugin of it. A LADSPA plugin would be
quite useless, since it's the GUI that makes this effect
(somewhat) special.
