As it happens, there are deactivated (and hidden) tracks in the session :)

This has nothing to do with Linux, but thought it might be of general interest:

The line above points to a version mismatch. Can you give us the version
of jack?
jackd --version
This gave a familiar error.
18:42 linux-8c8n:~ > jackd --version
jackd: symbol lookup error: jackd: undefined symbol: _jack_get_microseconds

Acording to yast jack version:
jack-0.109.2-0.pm.1 - Jack Audio Connection Kit
It look like its the jack connection kit.(the right program)
I seem to be able to choose between two different versions (in yast)
0.102.20-16
or the installed one, which should be newer: 0.109.2-0
when I checked independecies on the other version, it seems to have problems with hydrogen. (which I could ofcourse uninstall, and maby try reinstalling hydrogen later)
I also installed jackdmp
(could this be the problem ?)
greetings Guus
I think no need to tell the problem. It's obvious in the subject but.
After installing RT kernel the classical "Gnome Settings Deamon couldn't
start error occured". After logging out and than logging in it works.
Has this bug fixed ? or Any way of solving this prob ?
Thanx.

Hi,
I couldn't find any package for Linux SAmpler by using Synaptic.
I decided to complile it from the source but after ./configure i get (just

Sorry, LinuxSampler only supports the following MIDI drivers at the moment:
ALSA, MIDIShare, CoreMIDI.
If you think you have one of those available on your system, make sure you
also have the respective development (header) files installed.
which packages shall i install to compile it ?

Any chance that this new hardware has the right BridgeCo chips in it
to allow it to work under Linux?
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProFire2626-main.html
Looks like a nice competitor for the RME device. Any chance of *ever*
turning on the internal DSP? Might require a fork of hdspmixer to take
full advantage of the feature set...
