Hello,
is it possible to change jack connections via midi? I am looking at
building a modular setup where each module is an effect with an input
and an output (could be jack-rack, rakarrack, supercollider...), and
with my pedal board (or any other means of creating midi data) I would
change connections between these modules. Is it possible?
If not directly, is it possible with say supercollider to change jack
connections? (I'll ask this on the sc-users list too)
If you have any other ideas/tips on how to build such a setup, please
let me know!
Renato
Another post on this list, led me to Peter's track
'Breathing-hihat-monster-stereo'. I found that while I was listening, I
could feel my respiration and heart rate were trying to mirror the track,
but only at the points where it's sound was within the range of human
breathing. My dime-store hypothesis is that this is an effect of mirror
neurons. The psycho-acoustic effect of this track would work really well in
a dance mix?? Awsome Track !!!!

I can't explain more than what's in the title, when loading the latest
Qtractor-0.4.3 from the terminal, I get a segmentation fault when loading a
project from Qtractor-0.4.2 or choosing "new" from the menu.
When I just start adding tracks, I can save the file but then when I restart
Qtractor, the file is not in the "Open recent" list and I can't open it.
But, when I start qtractor (in a dir containing a touched testfile.txt) like
qtractor --cache-file=testfile.txt , I get an error that qtractor can't be
opened with the --cache-file=testfile.txt project.
But then I can open an old file, edit, export and save it.
I can even share it <http://soundcloud.com/freqrush/drumbeat-mixdown1-5> :-)
When I start qtractor again, no --chache-file=.. appended, I can't open the
saved file, only with the --cache-file appended to the command.
Weird behaviour because that --cache-file=testfile.txt option should have
been given with the ./configure command when I built Qtractor-0.4.3. I
simply ran ./configure, make, gksu "make install" . It all looked fine.
Any more info I should give?

After a google search I found this:
There is a patch from Bram Moolenaar
http://ftp.vim.org/pub/vim/patches/7.2/7.2.257
gvim works fine otherwise, it's just annoying to get these warnings.
The editor seems to work ok despite the message.

It's a basic demo, mainly for learning how the Gigsaw is working.
It's up to the user to do its own song. Gradually I'm filling the BASES
which give you the material for that. I'll explain contributions later.
Next months I also plan to try ALSA MIDI Humanizer by Cesare Marilungo.
But for now I'm very glad you succeed in running the Gigsaw.
Cheers.

Hello list,
I've owned a Roland RD-700SX for some time now, but unfortunately
Roland does not include any sort of editor for producing setups on
this keyboard. I thought it might be a good idea to ping the group
and see if there exists any open source application that can do this?
Lots of Googling hasn't come up with anything...
Thanks all,
Josh

Hey all,
I've read and read and re-read the README of the latest release of aeolus
that includes midi control of the stops and I still don't understand how to
specifically program the 'bytes' on midi CC 98 or so..
Is this like sending raw midi sysex data or what?
Thanks,
Andrew Coughlan.
After just now learning about linuxsampler (thanks, Russell!), I tried
to find it -- and the web site appears to be down. Anyone know what is
happening?

Hi
I'd like to play azr-3 from my usb midi keyboard. However in qjackctl
the keyboard shows up as alsa midi and azr-3 shows up as jack midi (as
far as I understand it).
How do I go about this? I seem to remember some solution that let's alsa
mide show up as jack midi or the other way around. But I couldn't even
dig it out from google.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
