Hi
When working with ardour projects, I'd like to backup the project, in
case I'd like to go back a step in the mixing process. There won't be
added new audio files to the projects from now on. Will it make sense to
store old copies of the .ardour files? Are all information regarding
mixer levels, plugins and cuts in the audio files contained in the
.ardour file?
Regards

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone here has any experience working with the PKP web
system in regards to academic publishing and peer review.

Hi again
Today ardour2 started crashing when I add a delay plugin. I think I
tried all delay plugins in my favorites which at least includes "L/C/R
delay", "Delayorama", "Tape delay simulation".
Other plugins work fine, including "sc4", "triple band parametric with
shelves", "Multivoice chorus".
Loading sessions that uses these problematic plugins crashes audour on load.
Being a very casual ardour2 user, I hope someone here can give me
suggestions on what to try...
NB: ArchLinux, 3.0-rt kernel, ardour 2.8.12

Wonderful stuff, Jostein, thank you for your suggestions. I'll remix the
song tomorrow, gotta get some sleep tonight. Old man needs his rest. :)

Hi
I discovered that jack2 seems to run much better with renoise on my arch
laptop than jack(1). However I can't seem to open the ardour projects I
worked on with jack with jack2 installed. ardour2 simply hangs with the
following in a terminal (and qjackctl and jack are hanging, I can't even
kill jackd):
ack: JackGraphManager::RecalculateLatency port_index = 25

NB: I can start ardour2 just fine with a new project...
I know there are many unknowns, but I'll be happy to supply any
requested sysinfo....
Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi.
Probably a beginner question but Google did not help me this time.
I am using Fedora17. I do have a M-Audio Axiom 49 connected via USB<->USB.
I am using qjackctl and whenever I connect the M-Audio device to the
computer it gets connected via ALSA instead of appearing in the MIDI
tab. But the latter is what I want, isn't it?
What do I need to change?
Many thanks in advance!
Matthias

Hi List,
i switched my system to use jack2 (1.9.8). As i wanted to make sure,
that SCHED_FF is used and threads got the right priority i took a look
at ps:
I can see, that jackd includes now 4 threads. Only one of them is using
SCHED_FF with higher priority. Is that correct?
regards,
Mathias
