Hi everyone,
hoping to ask this question without too much confusion.
I am seeking a headphone focused site where I can either entre
specification details, i. e. frequency range, sensitivity etc., and get
headphone options, or that provides all of the specification details
themselves. There used to be a place head zone for this years back, is
headphones.org still around?
because I use many different things in various ways, with the
specifications rather the key, my focus is on using this data.
Unfortunately because headphones are also a fashion statement these days,
getting clear numbers can be a challenge.
Any good resources?
Thanks,

Some known issues that aren't dealt with yet:
* Add measure does not take automation into account, use Structure add
instead.
* Unmuting a track during playback sometimes causes wierd sound offset
issues, cured by stop/start
* Note on the first tick in a loop is not played
* Ctrl+C sometimes does not work for copying a part in the arranger, menu
alternative works
* Automation edit db cue is wrong when editing
Keep on Rocking!

Hi, is this soundcard compatible?
I am ready to buy it but I should know if it would work fine under GNU/Linux
Any tips are welcomed
Thanks!

I'm thinking of getting a new 'pooter for music, and also thinking of making
it one of the new Ryzen ones. I don't think there is much point in going for
more than quad core. The 1500X looks like a good bet 3.5 to 3.7G, and not
overly expensive.
On (say) an asus motherboard with on-board radeon graphics. I'm not really
fussed about the graphics, but these seem to have better Linux support than
Nvidea ones (especially for RT kernels).
The one think I've no idea about is the sound card. I've got a positively
ancient 2496 that survived 3 PCs so far, but I think it's time for an upgrade.
Anyone any ideas about a well supported PCI-e one· It would be nice to have
balanced IO for a start!
Suggestions welcome!

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
Hi folks: I've been lerking here for a while and enjoying a lot of the
conversations and peoples recordings. The reason I originally signed
up is to ask if someone might be able to give me pointers on how to
access usb devices from the command line with alsa.
I seem to be accumulating usb audio devices and have found I am
confused about how they are to be interacted with. I currently have
three different devices a Marantz microphone, a mixer and a tape
cassette player supposed to be useful for converting old tape
cassettes to digital. The mic and tape player create devices in /dev
but I'm not exactly sure how to use utilities such as arecord with
them. I was hoping there was some sort of basic how-to or tutorial on
just how they are meant to be accessed.
If anybody can give me some ideas what to look for documentation wise
I'd certainly appreciate it.
