The main complaint I recall about Peavey was "sounds like crap".

And at least since the early eighties, Peavey's had a reputation for
making very reliable gear, unlike Behringer.
Yeah, they were accused of ripping off everybody. Since Meridian
Mississippi is just up the road from me I got hear a lot of the BS.
