Ok, more info.
In the kernel:
USB support -> USB Audio support = off
Sound -> ALSA -> ALSA USB devices -> USB Audio/MIDI driver = on
On plugging in the device, dmesg says:
hub 1-0:1.0: new USB device on port 2, assigned address 2
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: ctrl urb status -75 received
usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
cat /proc/asound/cards:
0 [default ]: USB-Audio - USB Audio CODEC
Burr-Brown from TI USB Audio CODEC at
usb-0000:00:04.2-2
cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/info:
card: 0
device: 0
subdevice: 0
stream: PLAYBACK
id: USB Audio
name: USB Audio
subname: subdevice #0
class: 0

subdevices_avail: 1
Any other info that would help?
Thanks.
