I don't know if it requires confirmation, too.
If unsubscribing by an email shouldn't work, a temporarily workaround
could be to send a mail without a subject, but message body
set authenticate PASSWORD
set delivery off
to
linux-audio-user-request(a)lists.linuxaudio.org
JFTR _not_ to
linux-audio-user(a)lists.linuxaudio.org
so you at least wouldn't receive emails anymore.
