I used the 12AX7 plugin on some of that. I couldn't get the right sound
out of the unmatched plugin. I really wanted to use my Crate VC30 and
Ibanez TS-9 but...
The Jerry Jones basses are made in Nashville, Claude has two of those
beasts. I don't know what he paid for them but I think it was a fair
amount. The other one is turquoise!
How did you like my guitar? Teak and walnut, oil and wax finish, half
hollow, neck-thru, Schaller locking tuners, Schaller Golden 50
humbuckers, and FAAS acoustic pickups. Hand made - by me. My other
hobby. My wife hates both hobbies.

Thanks Paul. The Marshall mics were 2001XP

$155 from Musician's Friend. I can't afford any really good ones but
these aren't bad.
they have a pretty good rep.
well, at least the 603 does, the 2001 gets mixed reviews.
i haven't had my hands on either.
i do have an MXL 1006 which isn't bad but isn't great either.
Supposedly the MXL 67 VG is a hell of a buy, i want to try one.
I would normally mic the guitar but my
mother-in-law
is living with me now (home health care) so I can't bring in the amp and
go to town.
understood. hey, have you tried the "Unmatched" ladspa plugin?
I haven't. might be good for this kind of situation.
The bass is a Jerry Jones. It's the funkiest
looking thing
I've ever seen It's got a pair of lipstick tube pickups and a 32"
scale but it sounds good. There's a picture of it on my site

ah, a danelectro clone :)
I love danos, cool sounding critters.
I have one of the new semi-reissue DC-2 guitars, it's great.
